I have never killed an elk but i have killed a few dandy bucks with my bow. i live in utah and i want to kill just a decent bull with my bow and arrow with out putting in for 10+ years. would mt dutton be a good choice to go chase bulls around on with a bow?

Yeah its a pretty good area, but you can kill a decent bull on any unit. with archery its all about scouting. Beaver, pahvant, monroe, all these are good units but just take time!
"Its about the chase, Not the kill"

YOu can draw dutton with 6 or less points pretty easy for archery. Hell dont be to surprised if you draw it with 1 or 2. Not a very hard unit to draw but a very hard unit to hunt with a bow. There are good bulls there though. There are multiple units you can draw with right around 6 points with a bow that all hold great elk.

Yes you can kill a good bull with a bow on the Dutton.
Poor Odds follow the good units, and the Dutton odds are getting better all of the time...so it is getting worse.

I would take a tag down there and feel good about seeing a good bull, killing one is a different story.

Nice big bulls on the unit. But, tough with a stick. There are better units in Utah . I downed a beauty with the .338 this year. KAPOW.
