I was wondering if anybody out there is familiar with this unit. I hunted it 8-9 yrs. ago. Did not see many deer, but a couple of decent bucks but could'nt seal the deal. I did really like the country. I have 9 points as a non res this year and would hope to draw a rifle tag. Anybody have any suggestions? Looking for something 170 or better. ThanksUB

unclebuck, I have not hunted this unit and I dont know anyone who has, the best I can do you is tell you what Carters choose last year 06 as their top picks.

I'm not sure if this is in any kind of order or not, this is how they listed in the book.

#1- 033(Late)
#2- 241-245
#3- 011-013
#4- 014
#5- 221-223
#6- 111-113 (Late)

I have been reading alot about the 200 units producing good bucks, I have 5pts and trying to draw a good unit in Nevada as well.

I hope this helps, good luck.

Only got to hunt it for 3 days this year before my buddy with the tag caved and shot a 150ish buck. Saw a number of small 2-3 year olds get tagged, pretty strong 3x4 genetics. A large chunk of the Bilk Creeks burned last summer as well. Fun hunt, if the proposed season goes thu it would end Oct 31, cutting off 4-6 days of prime time. Feel free to PM me. Jason

unclebuck, I have hunted that area 2 times once with a rifle (2001) and the other with a muzzleloader (2005). I killed a nice 25 inch 4x4 on the rifle hunt. And saw quite a few nice bucks on the muzzle hunt. The thing about Nevada is almost every area can produce a good buck and if you have hunted the area before it helps out. I try to stay with areas I have hunted before for that reason. Feel free to PM me if you have anymore questions. Ryan
