got this in an email today. it said it was a 2011 south dakota bull. the hunter took it to the taxdermist and found this. there guess was that the point was in his head 1-2 years

I saw several pictures of that bull in an email I got too. That tine just missed putting it's ey out and went down through just outside it's jaw, so he was still able to eat and drink okay. I wonder if he could see out of the left eye.
 
That's pretty crazy/cool. My uncle shot a bull last year which they had found a few antler tips under his cape that had broken off.

That bull was certainly lucky to have survived from that puncture wound.
 
Thats just crazy! Some years back I saw a large Angus bull running around in my hunting area (back in Oregon) that looked like it had a large stick, sticking out of its neck. (Bull was skiddish and I couldnt get a really good look at the object in its neck) I contacted the famer, and told him about his Angus bull. He contacted me a week later to tell me it was an elk tine busted off in the neck of his Angus bull. OUCH!
