LAST EDITED ON Feb-15-07 AT 08:46PM (MST)[p]We glassed this canyon for about an hour and was just about to give up when we spotted this buck. We watched him for 2 1/2 hours hoping he would get up. Finally we decided to push him. He thought he was so well hidden he wouldn't move. We climbed above him and tried rolling rocks down at him but he would just lay his head down. Finally my buddy walked right in on him and he blew out. My hunter shot him at 496 yards

Nice Pic Wes

Nothing is better than finding a nice buck bedded and knowing that the hunt is on.

Thanks,

Dang! You guys are good. When we first spotted him there was less of his antlers showing. Just the tips. Now can you guess the width?

LAST EDITED ON Feb-17-07 AT 06:16PM (MST)[p]I love "find the buck" photos. Thanks for posting this.

I found it, but might have had a harder time if it hadn't been right in the center of the photo.

That buck looks pretty wide to me, I think it might push 28"-30", it is a ways outside the ears. Good post
