Does anybody know if a three point has ever made the 190 minimum for B&C? I know it is possible, if it had enough inches in the right places, but has it ever occured???

Absolutely a 3 point can go book. I have seen that I know for certain would I have video of him from 2005. He was 31" wide and had incredibly long tines I am talking like 20" plus on all tines length with 5" Eye guards and mass that was just amazing. I have seen one on the cover of Eastman's I think out of Mexico that went like 190 and change net was a truly great buck. But yeah 3 points can go book.

Eastmans Hunting Journal about two years ago had a 3x3 B&C buck on the cover. Im sure I still have the issue around somewhere so I can get more details if you are interested.

Just for curiosity's sake, I don't suppose you could post the measurements???

I shot a huge 3x3 last year in Wyoming that is 33 and a half wide with eye guards and long tines and it probably only goes about 160.I can't picture one that would score 30 more points then this one.

It is not my buck so I don't know for sure. I did see the hunters official score sheet that validated his claim. It did not make the book when he killed it but when they lowered the minimum it did.

Sure there may be a couple that made it. I would say it is extremely rare to make B&C as a true three point. P&Y book level it would be much more possible but not easy. If eye guards are being counted along with 3 main frame points it is no longer a "3 point". Yes I don't consider a eye guard myself as a point but the book does. Shane, that is a really nice deer for sure, but based on the photo it does not appear to have enough length to make B&C book.

Do any of you B&C scorers out there know where the proper place to take the H3 measurement would be?

If the G-3 point is missing, take H-3 halfway between the base and the tip of the G-2 point. If G-4 is missing, take H-4 halfway between the G-2 point and the tip of the main beam.

This buck is 27" wide and in the mid 150s gross, but I think a front fork instead of a back would help a buck out a little bit more to make book. I have also saw the Eastmans mag buck.

I scored a 3pt. with eye guards in Ft. Bragg Calif. years ago that went 198B&C. This buck was killed in Idaho area 45 years ago by the taxidermists son. I don't believe this buck was ever entered in B&C. Over the years we scored many blacktails that has made B&C. Anybody from the Ft. Bragg area I wonder if old "Johnny D." is still alive.
