Do any of you old time MM'ers remember Dwayne Elam aka cowboye?

I liked talking with him and seeing the HUGE bucks that he and his father have killed.

Remember is 02' CO monster???

I think that last year he posted a few times but seems like he is really busy with work back there on the ranch, but just a guess.

Yup...really busy plus the last time i spoke with him, he was fed up with all the crap around here that was going on a while back......but mostly just real busy.

I DON'T KNOW WHAT HAPPENED TO HIM!!!

HE MIGHT STILL BE IN MULE DEER LA LA LAND???

I KNOW I WOULD BE!!!

EVERYTIME I SEE THAT PICTURE I KEEP THINKING THERES ANOTHER BUCK LEFT SOMEWHERE LIKE THAT,I JUST DON'T KNOW WHERE!!!

I THINK FOUNDER & HIS BUNCH TOOK A BIG BUCK OR TWO THAT SAME YEAR!!!

THE ONLY bobcat IN AH!!!

I miss his posts as well, unfortunately like many other old timers they just don't seem to be coming around as much as they used to. The site seems a little dead lately......maybe its just me though.

HEY Snort!!!

I DON'T KNOW ABOUT THAT YEAR BUT I HEARD YOU TOOK A BRUISER LAST YEAR???

I THINK I ASKED YOU ABOUT THE BUCK ONCE BEFORE???

THE ONLY bobcat!!!

I remember that. We all voted for his buck in a contest on some other web site and he won a pair of Swarovski's. He gave them to his father as I recall.

He and Founder both took tremendous bucks that year. Cowboye took his after laying in the snow for half a day waiting for it to stand up, if I recall the story correctly. That is still the all-time great buck on MM in my humble opinion.

Looked up into the archives and blew the dust off this one.

I remember watching this buck for a few hours through my spotting scope one day as it rutted a doe. Really recognizable bladed cheaters stacked on that right side and some unique blading elsewhere on its tines. I was amazed when it showed up on this post I remember and sent him a P.M. and let him know.

Bucksnort...I am still drop in from time to time....just been really busy and got tired of some of the childish crap that goes on from time to time.....and of course trying to get drawn in as many states as one can be LUCKY enough to draw in.
IT is fun to sometimes just drop in and see what People think the Hot Spots are now-a-days.... getting to be a rich man's sport....so I am trying to get Rich!

We have already received an Elk Tag out of one of our favorite spots in Wyoming. 2 years ago we were in there hunting deer and looked over 23 or so decent bucks, but decided to eat deer tag soup(like we have done so many times before)and hope they got some Growing time & age. Where we were... we never seen another hunter over the course of 12 days. but as you might expect. We did see a brusier, 7x7 thru our Swaro spotting scope, of a Bull....and of course NO TAG! and as you might expect no tag either way last year in wyoming. but this year we are hoping to see some of the genes in that area from him or possibly if all went well...... HIM! Just waiting to hear results on deer now in WY. We have our eye on a couple units in CO...one Unit down in southern Co. that we have seen some Great Bucks in while hunting elk during Muzzle or Bow season in the past and a couple in about the middle part of the state. trying to decide which area we want to apply for...which the deadline is quickly approaching us all. Looking at what we want to try and do in Idaho & New Mexico as well....

Dwayne
btw...Hello to all my Good Ole Friends here on MM that I used to converse with.

Good to see you are still around Cowboye. Hope you draw a great tag! Would love to see the picutres after your hunt if they are anything like that pig you shot a few years ago.
