I HAVE 13 POINTS AND HAVE NEVER KILLED A BULL I WANT TO KILL A 350 PLUS BULL BUT I AM READY TO DRAW A TAG I HAVE BEEN PUTTING IN FOR SANJUAN AND PHAVANT BUT I DONT THINK IM GOING TO DRAW ANYTIME SOON SO WONDERING IDEAS ON OTHER TOP AREAS THAT I MIGHT HAVE A BETTER CHANCE OF DRAWING AND KILLING A 350 PLUS BULL IM A SERIOUS HUNTER SO IM NOT AFRAID TO WALK AND COVER SOME GROUND I HAVE GOOD EQUIPMENT AND WOULD LIKE SOME FEED BACK ON IDEAS OF WHAT TO TRY THIS YEAR I LIVE IN OGDEN AREA SO SOME OF THE FARTHER AREAS I MIGHT NEED A GUIDE BUT COULD BE DONE THANKS FOR YOUR IDEAS

There is a lot of people on here that all about JOKES! I agree with north north cache, or rang creek ha ha

Watch your top knot

I would do a muzzy hunt! None of the rifle hunts you could draw would be worth it. Dont screw yourself on the north cache unless you want a 5 point.

I guess a late hunt on the south cache or the manti would probably be worth it...

If you are willing to travle first choice would be SW Desert then Dutton then Beaver

racer212,
Hunting is hunting! Almost every area holds a 350 bull or two but most units just don't have very many of them. If you're going to be unhappy with a sweet 330ish bull then you should stick with your original choices..... and hire a guide.

We hunted the Wasatch again this year and we were out for 8 days before we saw our first honest 350+ bull. We're glad we waited but we really should have killed the bull we saw on the opening day. Our gamble paid off but we were sweating it after a week of hunting.

Some units are better than others. Hunting is hunting and is NOT like placing an order from the menu. Lots of things can go south in a hurry.

Good luck in your quest and savour your experience.

Zeke, nice post...i will add that if you are going to put a score as your basis for a successful hunt... you might be disapointed....draw the tag and go hunt the biggest bull you can find and be glad to have had the chance to do so

If you know someone with a 300 bull, go hold it in your hands. Im sure you will be amazed at how big it really is. So much is put on score. If thats your thing then so be it. Me, When a 300 comes screemen in, I turn to jelly and try to compose myself enough to get a shot. It boggles my mind that people have the nuggets to pass on that situation. Good luck, and just go have a blast! Tony

if i was you id hold off a couple more years and get a pahvant, sw des, beaver, monroe tag.

But if you must draw this year do a late hunt on one of the above mentioned and pray you can find one not busted liked crazy

THANKS GUYS FOR ALL THE HELP FULL INFO I HAVE KILLED A FEW 320 330 BULLS BUT ITS BEEN A FEW YEARS AND I AM STICKING TO THE TOP AREAS THIS IS REALLY FOR MY BUDDIE AND HE HAS NEVER KILLED A BULL BUT THINKS HE NEEDS 350 OR BETTER IT JUST TAKES SO LONG TO DRAW ANY OF THESE TAGS THAT ITS QUESTIOABLE WHAT THE RIGHT CHOICE IS BUT THE FEED BACK IS ALWAYS HELP FULL THANK YOU ALL FOR YOUR TIME !!!!!!!!!

I see alot of posts lately where guys want a 350 plus bull.. Do we not realize how big a bull that really is? Yes they are out there on every unit im sure but it seems like everybody thinks they around every corner. Thats a big ole bull and if that is what you got your mind set on you better keep putting in for san juan of pavhant and might want to hire a guide.

But my guess is a 330 bull is put on the ground first chance probably thinking its a 350 or bigger.

wow
Never killed a bull and now he has set his sight on a 350 class bull. Well the saying go big or stay home was made for him. LOL

He does know the odds are like HUGE against him for killing a 350 class bull right out the box.
Now that brings up another question you should ask HOW MANY GUYS have killed a 350 class bull on their first hunt.

"I have found if you go the extra mile it's Never crowded".
