NR Wyo Elk Results are up

I was invited to hunt with a friend on a gen hunt did not want to burn point's so with only 4 point's I put in for unit 100 knowing that could be a hard draw and chances that I could get my gen tag.

Just got my 7th point....

Hope the wolves dont mess with the unit 31 elk for
at least 10 more years,,,,
Becauce I'm prety sure thats how long it will take me to draw.

Buddy and I drew area 32. Don't know what to expect but it should be an adventure. Going to start with the bow and go from there. So if anyone wants to give a guy a shove in the right direction or just tell us we got a good tag, it is welcomed.

No luck for me. Why can't all the states get their results out this fast?

For a minute I thought my son and I both drew a unit 7 tag with max points, but as I looked a bit closer, I could see we both drew our 7th elk point.

Heck if I don't draw soon, I will be too old to hunt those big boys.

Best wishes to all that drew.

Have a good one. BB

I thought I would share a picture of a shed we found on Pine Mt. (We were doing a lot of glassing for deer and I found this but it somehow quickly became my son's shed! lol) He looks like a good bull to me. Hopefully you'll be able to find him! I hope this helps get you pumped for 32. Good luck!

Thanks We aren't looking for the biggest bull in Wy but if he walked out we wouldn't hesitate. We are just looking to have a good time and chase some with a bow and if we can't get it done come back after them with the guns.

I drew a unit 7 tag with just four points, I am still in shock, BUT VERY EXCITED AT THE SAME TIME.

gahunter---That was obviously pulled in the random draw where you got a second chance, so it shows there is always a chance no matter what the odds are in a unit.

63/64 for me. I am going to have to do my homework. any starting points?

Unit 7, regular draw, max PPs.

We're excited!!!!!!!

Seems I'm spending 5 weeks in Wyoming this fall. 2 weeks archery, gonna apply for antelope and deer near Unit 7 and hunt that 10/1-10/10. And rifle elk, if necessary the first week of 10/15.

With the price of gas, and hauling horses, it's almost the same cost to go ahead and buy deer/antelope tags and stay as go hime. The whole plan is making sense since the western units I was building PPs for got hammered last winter.

Only bummer is my wife and son will have to drive to Wyoming on their own BUT if the elk tags are filled during archery, we can drive home together.

Good luck with your tags guys.
