So I looked on the DWR website and it says that my current points is 7 as of 2011. So I am wondering if you were in my shoes and wanted to hunt archery what hunt would you put in for. I have spent most of my years on the Wasatch unit and some time on the Oquirrhs and on the Manti. I am really hoping to get a tag this year, but know the odds game usually falls in everyone elses favor and not mine. Any input would be grateful and I am open to all opinions. Thanks.

Im in the same boat you are but im going with the wasatch with 7 points and as of last year an 86% chance is pretty good odds but it also depends on how many rifle hunters with 8,9,10 points decide to cash in there points for archery good luck.

I drew the wasatch archery last year with 5 points. Had a good time but didn't see a lot of big bulls. It was supper wet and I think they were pretty spread out. Bet it will be a bit drier this year so water might be a bigger issue. Riffle hunters killed it the weekend after. I ended up with a small 6 point but he did come right into my calls so there was some action going on towards the end. Opening day some were still packing shreds of velvet.
