Put this on the archery forum too.

Have a couple of points in my pocket for Colorado. Don't want to sit on them forever, would rather just go hunt. But would also like to make them worth while.
Just looking to shoot the bull with anyone who has had this tag or maybe the muzzy tag. Seems to be the kind of terrain I like bow hunting in. Just would like to get a little more intel from anyone that is willing to share a little. I would make the most of it and plan on being there nine days if needed.

Much thanks in advance for any intel.

This hunt is getting tougher to draw. I don't know if two points will do it this year. Muzzleloader is out for sure. The terrain is awesome and you will see plenty of bucks. 140-160 bucks are reasonable but 160-200 are few and far between. Lots of 3 by 4's 2 by 4's big 2 and 3 points to surf through. Tons of roads and tough to get away from the crowds. If you hike much you will probably bump a road within an hour. That being said it is a fun hunt but it will probably eat up at least 3 points this year if not more. GOOD LUCK!

Thanks alot Jason. Everything sounds encouraging "sp" except for all the roads and crowds. I don't mind hiking at all. But it is a bummer when you hike to get away, and then you just get back to a road or atv trail. One of my favorite mountains in So. Utah is like this. Too many roads.

Didn't you draw this tag last year? Would you do it again? How many points did you have? Now I'm wondering about looking at vouchers for this unit if two won't do it? Do you know anyone with vouchers for 21?

Thanks

Jeremy

Yea but vouchers are getting expensive. Last I checked about 3 grand for archery. It is a good hunt but I don't think I'd pay that. There are to many other states and hunts I can do over the counter instead. I had four points and it took two last year but I'm counting on an increase this year.
