Other videos give you a hunting show with a few tips thrown in, these videos are all about what the elk are trying to say and what to say back, and how to say it back.

You can't go wrong starting with Bugling bulls and beyond vol 1-4. Money very well spent.

NOTHING is more educational than hands on experience in the wild....
Best tip i can give you is to only use your bugles for locating, it's all cow calls from that point on.
Bugeling tends to only push herd bulls away, they don't want another fight. They answer back to see where you are so they can keep moving away from you. Most of the time it's the satallite bulls that come in.
Good luck!!

Unfortunately I learned the hard way on this during my archery hunt. They respond to a bugle everytime which in turn makes you want to keep buglin and thinking your making progress. When really your doing nothing. Throw out a bugle for a locater then tuck it in your pack and start walking is what I learned

I have to agree, ELKNUT the way to go. save yourself years of trial and error. myself there was more error than trial

Thanks for starting this post, and thanks for the link to ELKNUT.

Ordered the pocket book and tree stand book. Will order the DVDs after I read the book.

I've learned the hard way much too often since my first archery elk hunt in 1977. I've learned a lot along the way but since I don't get the opportunity to hunt elk in the rut every year, sometimes I make the same mistake over again. Hoping a "refresher" during the off season may prevent that this year.

So many things can go wrong when you have a bow in your hands BEFORE the shot even happens.

Good luck this fall everyone.
