Buy It or Win It Guys,

I just added a NEW Elk Hunting DVD to the MonsterMuleys.com Online Store. The DVD is Extreme Bulls 7. I'm sure a few of you have seen some of the first Extreme Bulls DVD's. Anyway, if you'd like to get your hands on a copy, you can buy it here at MonsterMuleys.com. The business is sure appreciated.

If you would like to WIN the DVD, you might. For the next week, share your opinion of the best state to hunt elk in. Keep it short....we'll say 20 words.

It's NOT based strictly on where you have the best chance of a giant bull, but where you have the most fun, combined with all that makes hunting fun....opportunity, solitude, etc. It could be a general season, over hunted area, but maybe you go with great friends, drink lots of beer and talk dirty. Or maybe you only get to go every couple years, but you pack in on horseback. Or maybe it's a once in a lifetime deal but you get to hunt giant bulls during the rut.

NEW DVD!!!!!!!!!

LAST EDITED ON Mar-21-12 AT 07:37PM (MST)[p]In my opinion New Mexico is the best state to hunt elk simply because there is no point system and you can't beat those big high country bulls screaming in those gold NM aspens.

A pic I took last fall

The greatest place to be hunting elk is where ever you currently have a tag for. Hunting elk is great no matter where you are at.

LAST EDITED ON Mar-22-12 AT 10:37AM (MST)[p]I've learned that the best place to hunt elk is next to your son or daughter. What a great feeling it is to share their joy and a memory that last forever. Wether it be aspen groves in Colorado, pine forests in Idaho, sage brush flats in Nevada. That is the best place ever!

Utah General Season Units are the best! Nothing is guaranteed, it takes a lot of hard work, and is very satisfying when you do succeed no matter what the size is!

LAST EDITED ON Mar-22-12 AT 02:42PM (MST)[p]This is elk hunting to me! No words needed.

Anywhere you can hunt with family and friends in the fall. Change in color, cool air, screaming bulls and football.
Cant get any better than September!!!

Any state that you have drawn a tag for with the bulls bugling up a storm, chasing cows and fighting and keeping you awake at nights, couple that with some great friends and family along to enjoy the hunt and the campout.

On my back, six miles from the road, my sons with me. Fresh snow in the "Elk Zone" at daylight. McCall Idaho, home away from home, always a sweet spot for our family.

From September to December, extreme heat to bitter cold, do it with friends, family and my bow on my back. My first bull was in Wyoming, my best was in Montana, but my next bull will be from Utah!

Any state is the best as long as you respect the land and wildlife and pushing yourself to your highest limits with emotions to the very low to the very high. in the end it is time well spent in mountains with yourslef or family and freinds

I think the best state is the the state you can get a tag... just spending time with friends and family is a good enough reason to be out hunting whether its hunting for spikes or trophy bulls...

This year in Oregon. My son will be Elk hunting for the 1st time. I cant wait to show him all my Honey Holes. He will get to experience the commaradere, not felt anywhere but Elk Camp.

The best state to hunt is with this little guy:

No matter how screwed the laws are UTAH is still the best state to hunt in!!!!!!!!!!

For me it's New Mexico. No points and lots of opportunities for the whole family to get out and chase elk.

Idaho for me... It's where I live and where I learned to hunt with my dad and uncle. Plus I love the fact that you can get an OTC tag every year to spend time in the outdoors and chase screaming bulls..

Huntthebest - Shoot me a PM with your name a mailing address and I will get a DVD on it's way to you.

Thanks a bunch all of you. Hearing your words about what makes it special makes me feel good. I should have a pretty good elk tag this year in Utah and I'm excited to test my skills.
