Elk forum has been pretty slow, I figured I would put on my wife's muzzle loader bull from a couple years back. It has some wild down turned g1's that were rounded over from what I assume was rubbing on the ground while he would feed.

Chances are the fronts were snagged and pulled down while he was in the velvet.

My Wife has a B&C Mule Deer with down turned G5's. They simply stuck out so far that they touched the vegetation when he was feeding. They were also not sharp, but rounded on the tips.
