Mt. Nebo Elk

Hey guys This is my first post on these forums. So I drew the Nebo bull tag I'm super stoked but I do not know the unit at all. I have not chased elk a whole lot usually kill a cow most years. I spend most of my days chasing Miley's so any help with this tag would help a ton.

Thats a hard place to hunt if u dont know it the bulls are in the dark whole. Its a real fun hunt but not alot of big bulls up there so try not to be to picky

Thanks man. I dont plan on being to picky. I just put in for this hunt while I was in my waiting period for deer. I only had 3 points so I might as well go give it a try.

What weapon did you draw? Archery, Rifle, Muzzy? I shot this bull down there in 2010 on the muzzy hunt. Had an absolute blast! I absolutely love hunting elk on Nebo. But it is steep, deep and thick! Make sure you're in excellent shape or have horses if you end up shooting something. PM me if you're interested, I'd be happy to give you a few ideas of where to begin looking.

A friend of mine had this tag in 2010. He did not end up shooting a bull but we did get into some elk and he had had his chances. I have a map of the area with all the places we hunted on it. Send me a PM and I can arange a way to get it to you as I don't plan to hunt this area.

I had a muzzy tag there last year. It can be tough if your not familair with the area. I killed a good bull on the third day. Not any monsters, don't be picky. What weapon did you draw? Where are you from, can you scout before your hunt?

Congrats on the bull man. I live in west Jordan and plan on scouting a ton this summer. I have an archery tag and I am an avid bowhunter. I feel confident I can get a bull down if I can get into them. I am just looking for any help on some good places to look. Anything helps man thanks.

i live in payson i know 3-4 canyons with some decent bulls in them and my i usually always have decent bulls on my trail cams there are bigger bulls in that steep old canyon there are 350-360 bulls up there you just have to put in the time and effort for them. i can give you a few pointers if you want
