That's right. We're giving away a CWMU deer tag/hunt at the Heber MDF banquet on April 21st. The hunt will take place on the Deer Creek CWMU near the hip town of Walsburg;)

Please give me a call if you're interested in attending and getting your name in the hat for this awesome tag!

DAMN YOU Prism!!!

I THOUGHT YOU WERE GIVING IT AWAY ON MM HERE FIRST REPLY GETS THE PERMIT???

THE ONLY bobcat WONDERING WHAT SIZE OF BUCKS ROAM THAT CWMU???

HEY ss!!!

ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!!!

HOW MANY FRICKEN TAGS DO YOU NEED/WANT???

THE ONLY bobcat!!!

The operator indicated to me that they had three tags on the CWMU last year and killed two bucks...one was 29" the other was 27". The other hunter passed on several bucks that did not meet his expectations. I have asked for pictures of the two bucks killed, but have not recieved any.

I killed these two bucks the last two years near this unit. The 1st is 28" and scores 170 the other is 27" and scores about 145.

I know of 6 other bucks that were 4 points or better ranging from the 130's to the mid 170's that were killed near this CWMU including this buck.

All in all, not huge bucks but a few decent ones.

Some pretty nice bucks for around these parts anymore.

I don't think you have to be present to win, but you do need to purchase up to a sponsor package-around $170.00. We could probably minus out the cost of the meal if you can't attend and the cost of a MDF membership if you already have one.

This is a great deal. I was really bummed about the fact that we no longer raffle off conservation tags (I still think the average guy is getting the SHAFT on this deal).

So, I think this is a pretty neat thing. Not many of us can afford to play the conservation tag game at the banquets, but most of us can afford a chance at this tag.

Hope to see you in Heber City!

Just a few more days for the early bird special which will include an extra chance for the deer tag!

I think Dahlmer is even going to help pack your deer out with one of his trusty old mules:) If possible I'd like to go along with the winner to film it for a future Never Enough DVD. As long as I don't have to ride a mule;)

Count me in... I'll let you know which package I am going to do shortly.

When I win that tag, when/how many days will the operator let me go in and hunt?

I love those small (smaller) town Banquets!!! Lot's of fun, more personable and feels like I have a lot better chance of getting a great deal on an auction item or actually winning a raffle.

Sounds like my odds may be pretty good with the popularity of this post. Do I need to bring my blue card to take home that voucher? :)

Just wanted to remind everyone again of our banquet on the 21st at 6:00 PM. For thos of you with youth hunters, any in attendance will automatically have their names entered for the North East cow tag which can be hunted during any season in 2007.

Just an FYI the World Record muzzleloader bull elk was killed by the guy who bought our Wasatch MZ tag last year...and then he was lucky enough to draw the Manti tag this year at the Expo. Just might be the start of a run of good luck for someone.

Here are some other items that will be available for raffle and auction.

Knives of Alaska
Never Enough videos
Vortex optics
$300 gas at Mountainland One Stop
A bow package from the good folks at I Bow Hunt
A day of flyfishing for four at Sportsman's Paradise in Paradise, Utah. Includes lunch and guide.
4 wheeler
Christensen's Arms rifle
Several guns including shotgun, rifles and Muzzleloader

We still have a little space available and are looking to keep it under 100 people to keep it more informal and fun. We would love to have you if you can make it. Saturday the 14th is the last day you can get the early bird special. You can call me at 435 671-6627 or Paul at 435 757-1278.
