072-074 Archery Elk Help

Well I got lucky and drew my Nevada Archery Bull tag this year for 072 with 6 points. It looks like all my hunting partners also drew premium tags for the same time lol. I have hunted 061 with friends but have not hunted across the road. I realize I am new on this site but I was looking for a little direction. I have horses and plan on packing in for the hunt but I have heard anywhere from Marys River, Hummingbird Springs to Elk Mountain. Has anybody hunted this unit with a bow and what would be your take? I appreciate any help and I can help with alot of Nevada units like 19 18 17 16 and 10 for archery deer. Thanks Again

With your ability to take horses, I would recommend Mary's River Basin. Lots of big cow/calf groups, and the bulls will start sniffing them and breaking them up into harems during your season. That should get you away from all the road hunters.
