Checkout my photos of a great Inyo mule deer, 7x5,scored 174, shot in California high sierras last December. Great hunt with my brother and nephew. Tough hunt without snow but saw lots of bucks but mainly broken-up from fighting.Used my Sako 300wsm, 165gr nosler. couldn't load them so check out mags.

Have you been back shed hunting in the area this spring yet.

The shed hunting was rough this year since we didn't have much snow. We were finding our best sheds at 9000' rather than the valley floor.

Haven't gone shed hunting-alittle too busy. Where i scouted, i only saw one hunter much lower than i was but the bucks were a mess. weird horns or broken. My friend from our archery club, Oranco, in Corona, calif found some monster sheds high but the snow didn't come soon enough to get them off the top for the hunt. Hard to believe i think 10 hunters didn't shoot anything. Mine is being mounted now in riverside, ca. I feel very fortunate to get a clean looking buck.
Where are you guys from and where do you hunt deer? Also, elk-which is my favorite.

I understand lots of sheds around division creek area.
