Who got the BookCliffs Roadless any weapon tag?

Wasn't me.

Me, I wish! I'd die for that tag this year. Hope everything is okay with your dad. Had to be tough to give this one back. Had a 340-350" and a 380"+ feeding 150 yards away, last weekend and have seen 3 bigger than him out there this year so far.

You want more "opportunity"? Start shooting a bow and apply for out of state tags as well, IT'S THAT SIMPLE!

Everything is fine with my dad, we actually both drew the any weapon tag, and want to hunt two bulls in two years instead of trying to find two quality bulls in the same year. I hope it was the right decision, but either way it is going to be a fun two years. Hope the tag went to someone who will make the most of it.

Antlerglazed-I know the bulls in this unit move a ton between now and september, but I hope those big bulls you are seeing move into the area that I plan on hunting.....They sure weren't there last weekend. haha.

I was actually over at the DWR turning a cow tag back last week.

Couldn't believe how long the hand written list was of surrendered
permits! with the majority being LE elk tags...maybe 25....
I WAS SURPRIZED!!

And ya,those Bookcliffs bulls are cool to watch in the summer..
All bachelored up, hanging around the ridge tops at times,
One year I saw 56 different bulls in just a few hours just
south of Ten mile knoll...Need to take my kids out there sometime. This year, Their learning the Paunsy....
