Took the family out camping this weekend. In our travels we ended up at Grandjean Idaho in Boise County. It has an awesome little gem of a campground at the west base of the Sawtooth Mountains. At the lodge I was pleasantly surprised to find this Monster Muley.

It is the #1 non typical ever harvested in Idaho by a woman. #2 All time in Idaho. Harvested in 1928 by Babe Hansen in the Grandjean area and scores 305 3/8. Enjoy!

Awesome buck! Odd though, the Cabela's in Kansas City has the Babe Hansen buck on display as well (saw it in person). I wonder which is the real one....?

The one Cabela's has is the real deal...

I 'handeled' that rack quite a few times before Cabelas got it.

I checked Ryan Hatfield's book "Idaho's Greatest Mule Deer", and saw that Cabelas is the owner of the rack. There is a copy of it at the Boise Cabelas also. Great buck none the less. I don't know if there are any of his genes left up around Grandjean, but its nice to know that ther area has the potential to produce jaw dropping bucks.
