Washington best deer unit

wanted to know what special permit unit was your favorite. I know most people will say desert. I hunted the alkali last year had a great time. what unit, what weapon,

Slide Ridge 249 is my favorite modern rifle permit because there is a great migration of mature back country bucks and it is not too easy to hunt so plenty of deer get a chance to put on some age. Some of the late migrators winter (most years) up valley from the Entiat so they avoid the archery hunters.

Desert isnt a bad choice, i had the tag a few years back and missed a monster, ended up settling with a 24 inch 4X2 on the last afternoon. I live right near the desert though and have gotten to know it better since then, mostly because my boss owns a pretty big chunk of land out there. Quilomene still has some big bucks in it you just have to be patient. But i think that the Wahluke late archery hunt may be the best hunt out there.
