Youth Hunt

Hi all,

I am seeking some advice as to where I could take my 12 year old on the youth elk hunt, with a reasonable chance of running inot a few elk. Yup he got lucky and got a tag his first year. I have heard a little about Monti Cristo but don't know too much about it. I plan on getting out and doing some scouting in the next few weeks. I would just like to know where a good place to start may be. Thanks much.

Hmmm thought their might be a response or two. Keep in mind I am not asking where you have your 360 bull spotted etc. Just a start.

The Monte Cristo area can be hit/miss. The best part about this hunt is that it is in the rut and no one else is hunting. The areas around Flaming Gorge and up above Vernal(Red Cloud Loop)are definite possibilities.

I would try around moon lake, hard hunting but some good bulls
