Wyoming Unit 111 Help

I put in for Unit 111 elk and drew the tag. On one hand I'm super excited on the other a little stressed. You see since drawing the tag I've started a new job with absolutely extended time off. This only allows me a day or two to drive from Utah County to the unit for scouting. Any help with a couple of good starting points would be greatly appreciated.

The offer stands for any body that draws 111 or is thinking about putting in for that unit in the future. I know how it is using all your points for a unit that a guy has probably never set foot in before. I'm not a expert on the unit by any means, but I made several scouting trips and spent two weeks archery hunting the unit so I have some knowledge of the hunt. I can point a guy in the right direction and tell them what worked and didnt work for me.

Hey jb48 drew the tag this year hunted till today not seeing much , maybe could give me a couple ideas as I'll prob never draw this again , hunted mostly in Morgan creek habitat area fri , sat and this am .

Cool weather ahead. Still pretty early for much serious rut activity. You're right, the elk are timbered up from the heat. Go farther back and higher in Morgan Creek. Watch out for bogs.

10 year old thread brought back to life. Back then my memory was better and always happy to help someone with starting points, but nowadays I can barely remember a week back. Wish I could remember all the trail heads and drainages. Cool area and fun hunt, enjoy it
