Eagle County has great genetics and a few monsters survive the on slaught of hunters every year and they do come out of their hiding places come 4th season when the rut kicks in. I wish DOW would limit the number of buck tags for those units, as very few bucks ever reach their potential. If DOW did limit the numbers, we'd see a few B&C bucks from Eagle County Colorado going into the book each year.

You think they come out during 4th?? You should see it in december!! I've seen some real whoppers just standing there in the sage staring at a doe's butt. One was in my top 5 of all time- easily in the low to mid 200's with tremendous mass and non typ pts everywhere. Pray for snow and if God listens you'll have a great hunt.

I have hunted it the last two years, 3rd season 2005 and 4th season last year, we had points left from the point banking, so decided to try it again.

Last year I met two guys off of MM and we got together every evening for beers and to discuss the day. Between good hunting and shooting the bull with like minded people, it was a heck of a good time.

Dale,

Congrats on the job move! Sorry about today, the cell battery died. Check your work email, I found the link and sent what you asked about.
Take care.
