What are the predictions for Region H this year? How is the rainfall and spring going in H? From the research I've done, it's not what it used to be but still will produce some nice ones every now and then.

I HEAR ABOUT THE SAME THING YOU STATED, BUT THE RAINFALL MIGHT BE BETTER THAN NORMAL. H STILL HOLDS A FEW MM, I WILL BE THERE SEPT. 26TH FOR THE ELK OPENER...WITH A HOPEFUL BUCK TAG IN MY BACK POCKET AT 9,300 FT. ON A HORSE PACK IN HUNT. I HEAR THE ELK SITUATION IS MUCH BETTER THAN THE BUCK SITUATION AT THIS POINT, WE'LL SEE. H HAS ABOUT 14 UNITS IN IT, IF I DONT SCORE I WILL GO BACK AT THE END OF THE SEASON WHEN THE SNOW FLIES AND TRY AGAIN. ANY INFO. IS APPRCIATED, THANKS.----YD.

I was in a couple G units last week for 3 days very lush and alot of snow still higher up.

We just had 2 days of record breaking rain/snow amounts here in Utah and it all was heading to Wyoming so that should help!

It was a mild winter here in regions G and H. Not a lot of cold weather to keep the snow on the mountains. I would imagine a very low fawn mortality rate this season. Early snow melt and runoff, but surprising amounts of rain and sporadic light snowstorms. THere is still a bit of snow up high(thanks to wed/thurs rain and snow), but now temps are creeping up again, and its slowly melting off. I've been seeing some bucks low that look to be in the 24"-27" range when they are done growing, as well as some "pickleforks" and spikes running around. Been seeing alot more whitetails over the past 6 months down low in those areas for some reason, especially on the west side of the regions. Everything is still very green and lush, but hopefully the rain will keep coming and keep it that way.
Good luck to all in the draw. Maybe I'll see you up high this season.
