Okanogan wildfires

I'm trying to decide which units to apply in for a late buck tag. Can anybody out there tell me if most of the burns were in Chewuch or Pearygin? Thanks

The fire stayed east of the Chewuch River and only got down to the river as it got close to and in the Wilderness area. Pearrygin Creek and the area around First Butte did not burn. You may discover that the best hunting will be in the burn; less cover for game. The migration will pass right through the burn as the deer move to their particular winter and breeding area. The fires were in the Pearygin for the most part but either unit will be good for a late tag. The bucks you will be after will be the migratory ones so they move into the lower elevations about November. The burns from last summer should not affect that hunt too much.
