I'm trying to figure out what a 300 inch bull looks like as a basis for field judging larger bulls. Does this bull hit the 300 inch mark? What's your guess on the score? Let's see some pics of 300 inch bulls if you got 'em.

I am not good at scoring elk, but I would say this bull is shy of 300 inches. I'd say he's 270" - 280".

Agreed. I think he's shy of 300 as well.

guess of a solid 280-290. he needs just a little more mass and a little tine length

Here is a bull I shot a few years ago, he scored 312.....

This bull is right around the 280 mark. He is missing his G2's and would be right around 300 had he grown them.

The bull at the top is 250-300 type bull. I think you need the tape to get specific.

There is a huge difference when you are using pictures to score a bull. Difference may not be the right word, how about a huge margin for error when judging off a single or even a couple of pictures.

It is possible that he has a huge body and there fore he could approach 300.

What I get a kick of is the folks on TV. They knock down a bull and then say nice 300 bull when it is clear the bull is less than 250. It makes me laugh.

I have a nice bull on the wall, most people think he is 300, but he is 297. I call him nice, because he is a nice 6 point, when I get the chance again, I'll look for something bigger.

Your 1st photo bull is in the 250--260 class.....from that photo angle.

Go get ya a good 6pt bull and have some fun hunting.
