Oquirrh/Stansbury

Are there many elk on the Stansbury's? I know there are on the Oquirrh's. Just curious, was out there deer hunting and the country was good looking but we only saw deer, which is fine. Thanks for any input.

Very few elk on the Stansburys. Occasionally you will find a small herd but not very often. If you have drawn a tag, I wouldn't waste your time over there. I live in Tooele and spend a good amount of time on the Stansburys and I have not seen an elk for a couple years. They are there, but not worth your time.

I have seen tracks out in that country and even south to the Vernon, but never seen an elk. Good advice above!

according to the research i did on this unit there is about 250 elk on the stansburys
