Just wondering what you guys think this bull might score. I heard he was big, but am unsure if the score is legit. I know there are a lot of guys here than can pretty much nail scores to the nearest 1/8".

Thanks

How about a couple pics from the side to see the tine length on his tops. Its hard to judge not seeing them as good.

Without seeing a side shot I'd say 320 +/- 10. Cant' get a gauge on the 1's, 2's and 3's and from the way they appear with the above picture they appear short. The spear on the left and the 5 is odd as well. Never the less, beautiful bull, I surely would shoot it. :)

Judging from the deceptive camera angle and the legit guesses before mine I'll say 364"

320ish, short fronts holding score down, but who cares, he is a really nice bull. Congratulations! MT bull perhaps. Nice job!

It is hard from this angle as there is no way to compare the lengths of the tines to each other. Looks to have a good back end and good mass but a little short in the thirds and fronts. I'd say somewhere around 330. Add some pictures of different angles and you will get more input. Thanks for the pics though!

What's the deal, you can't afford a tape measure?

Venison and Zinfandel are GOOD!

I would be putting him in the 340ish range. Back end is strong but the fronts are on the weak side. The mass seems to be at or just above average but the main beams seem to be on the short side of making it into the 350+ class bull.

No matter what the score is I love this bull main beams. The little wave in it adds a ton of character.

I'll go 350ish... Very tops 358! But holy chit... one of the best looking bulls ever...

Maybe this one will help with the MB length and top end... What is considered long for MBs, and what's average for mass?

is that a utah bull?? this is crucial info that we must have to give and accurate score because utah bulls don't get any bigger than 320"

Utah bull 319 4/8"

Anywhere else 365

Well, BS those last two pics really show his top end strength, so going up it to 330ish. The weak fronts are holding the score down, but he carries some really good mass up top. Great character on this bull and he does look like a CO bull but knowing you are from MT thought maybe you went home and took care of business. I am leaving for NM next week and would love to kill a bull like this one with so much character.

LAST EDITED ON Sep-06-12 AT 10:40PM (MST)[p]Holy cow what a stud bull! No matter what the score that bull is a Good one! Love the look of him congrats! Just a quick estimate but I come up with 387.

LAST EDITED ON Sep-06-12 AT 11:33PM (MST)[p]360 ish ??Do you not own a tape measure??????

Those two pictures really show the size of that bull!! I would say he is right around 370.

Those fourths are awesome! Heck everything about that bull is awesome!

What do I need a tape measure for? With all the experts in MM land, throwing out a score is like putting a target on your back.

I'd have to take him off the wall to measure him anyway. Too much work... I don't want to knock the sheep mounts off.

That is one beautiful bull. I like the way his main beams wave. I'm having a hard time getting him over 340, but score isn't everything in trophy quality and that is one nice bull. So put a tape on him already and let us know how good an eye we have.

For reference... MB's are 55" and 4s are 22 and 23". I don't remember much of the rest of the measurments, its been haning on the wall for a couple years. He's a bit bigger than 340 though, I'm affraid to put up the score. I'll get chastized because the "experts" just can't see it. ;)

Colorado bull shot with a muzz a few years ago.

I don't blame you it's fun to guess on scores but no matter what someone will always second guess your answer. Especially on a trophy such as yours. Congrats on a beautiful bull, i love his main beams massive and unique.

welll first pic i was thinkin 350 but after the other pics id say 370 just lookin at it..ok for some odd reason i came up with around 385 when i did the math. lets hear the score who cares what the mm tards say! they always naysay cause they cant kill anything bigger.. pm me the score i am curious. thats a stud of a bull.

That's a crazy wide angle that can distort the image on those side shots, but I still get him right at 380 if the numbers given are the basis.

Super cool bull for sure!

Cheers,
Pete

Gotta love the low-baller crowd on mm! Thats a nice elk. I'm not really good at scoring elk, but even I can tell it's not a 320 bull.

I would guess him in the Mid-350. Love the coloring.
