HELP... Hunting LE elk in the Book Cliffs Bitter Creek / South

My grandpa has a tag for the Book Cliffs bitter creek south. Neither of us has hunted the area before. We were told by some friends to hunt in and around Three Pines. We went up last week and saw a few cows. It was very hot and dry and the elk weren't talking as of yet. My grandpa is in his mid 70's. I am hoping to help him get a chance at a good bull. He is in great shape and can hike around pretty well.

If anyone can help us out I would greatly appreciate it. As I mentioned we are now hunting in and around three pines and horse canyon. We are heading back up tomorrow afternoon. Hopefully this last storm has gotten them closer to rutting. Anyone who has hunted the area before or knows anything about the area and would like to share I would be all ears.
