Problems with Colorado's draw ! ! ! !

A group of four of us applied for a Archery Mule Deer hunt in SE Co. I recently found out I was the only one to obtain a tag. After calling Colorado I was told I missed a number in the group ID number box. I was the Group leader and We used my CID # like in colorado's rules. It is a nine digit #, well I had eight. I thought electronically filing the application should prevent any problems like these. I was also told by co's staff you can use any combination of #'s for the group ID. Well the regulation book says to use the CID. If anyone applied on line this year you may have experienced the same problems as us. It took about 4-5 times for each of us to apply. Each time we attempted to pay by visa all our information was lost and we would have to reenter all the information again. I'm sure one of those attempts I had the 9 # CID correct. I'm extermely disapointed in colorados system this year. I have lost both of my points. My only option is to either let CO keep my money and get my points back or file for a refund and lose my points. I was told that the error was on my end and there is nothing they can do to help. Why would the regulations require a CID # but allow any other # to be used. If I'd have applied on paper I would have been OK there are 9 spaces on the application I'm sure I could have gotten that right. Maybe Colorado will change there program and send an error if you don't have enough #'s prior to allowing the application to be submitted.
Maybe someone will learn from my mistake. Double check before you submit even the 5th time. I think I'll apply by paper next year. This year may have cost me the price of a tag to regain my points. I'm disheartened. I told the group the could go walk with me while I hunted, they didn't bite.

Strange, same thing happened to me lucky I got my points. I counlden't believe I left of the last #.

Before you read the following questions, please know that I ask only to be informed. I am a non-resident that does not want to make any mistakes in the future.

Doesn't colorado "throw out" all applications (when applying as a group) even if there is only one mistake on one of the group members applications? Doesn't Colorado ask how many members in your hunting group online?

Does this mean that all other members of your hunting group had the same number except for yours?

Again, I don't mean to question your methods, I just want to be informed for the future draws.

I don't know why they were not thrown out, since my group # matched no one elses. The other 3 members had the same #. I was in a group of my own. My print out from applying online doesn't show where they asked for the # of members, not saying they don't, I can't remember.
I was pretty discouraged since the operator at the DOW agreed that there were alot of troubles with the online system this year.
