Any starting points on this unit for the late season deer? I'm thinking starting north at the Magdalenas.

What are your general impressions of the unit for deer? Worth the time, work, and effort? I'm willing to do the leg work. And I mean, extensive leg work. So what do you think - I'm thinking so - hell, this is the first tag I've ever had my hands on. Not my first or second choice, but........better than nothing.

I'm very greatful to have a tag and place to plan for this year.

There is a lot of timber. Not a whole lot that you can glass. Five years ago, I saw very few deer while elk hunting.

Start at the southern portion near Joses cabin. I was trying to glass bear and all I saw was deer. I hit a fawn bleat and a doe jumped over the bush and on my lap almost. I almost dirtied my drawers.
