WY Unit 165 Help

I drew a WY unit 165 Mule deer tag this year. I am going out with a couple of guys who have been out there a couple of times. They have done ok but nothing that I would consider a real trophy. Am I expecting to much out of this area or is it possible to take a quality animal in this unit.

your best bet would be to hunt the mornings early and wait for the muleys to come out of the fields into the bedding draws. hunting for whiteys on the river is for the people with private land access. it does hold some good ones though. the muleys are ok too though.

Thats what my buddies did the last few years trying to waylay them as they moved out of the fields. I am planning on trying to get out a few days early to try to hook up some PVT property and look for a good whitetail as an option.
