My neighbor just came off the mountain last night and sent me this picture of a bull that he took. In the text he tells me that it is a 320ish bull and the G2, G3, and G4 for both sides are 19+ inches long. I know that I am bad with numbers, can someone please explain to me how you get a 320ish with 19"+ tine lengths. I'm looking at this bull and thinking that it should be closer to a 360ish bull. Ether way I am way excited to get home from work to put a tap to it so I can verify his measurements. What do you think this bull would score?

Really short main beams, weak 5ths and narrow will all get you in the 320s. Great fronts though.

Very nice bull however 320 is dead on maybe a couple inches low at best. Short beams add up lost inches quick as does average width at best and weak everything beyond his 3rds. Very pretty bull regaurdless of what he scores

I think 320 might even be just a tad high. His mains are short, and width is average.

I am not being critical though, I would shoot that bull in a heart beat, I really like the look of him!

That is a bad picture. Get some better pics when you get over there.

I don't think there is any other quality

quality of perseverance. It overcomes
almost everything, even nature.

Oh trust me time is not going by fast enough. The first thing I will be doing when I get home is stopping by his place. This is the only picture that I have with we and it does not do justice for his bull compared to the other that I have seen. I know that his main beams are on the short side but trust me this bull is better then a 320 class bull. I have a 310 class 5X5 in my house that I look at every day. This bull trumps mine in every way except for the main beams.

I was able to get my neighbor to send a little better shot of his bull. Even with the short main beams do you still think thia is a 320 class bull. According to my neighbor the G2, G3, and G4 range from 18"-22" on both sides.

Thats a way better pic. Id say hes at least a 340-350 bull and maybe more. His fronts are big especially his 2s and 3s. Nice swords also.

Friday after work both my neighbor and I rescored his bull. I came up with 359 and he got 355. That's more inline with what I would have expected. He would loved to have kept the cape but he is having a little financial difficulties which made it impossible for him to mount it. He is going to do a European mount instead.

Nice bull. Congrats. Last I checked there are more elk to be mounted than capes available. My taxi gives me a euro for half the cost when I give him my cape of a mule deer. He should have caped it and sold it.
