region d Wyoming deer

Have never hunted in unit #80,is there much public land to make it worth a trip from Washington?What other units in region D might have plenty of public access?Thanks

My wife and I also drew that tag. We plan on hunting late September archery season and we are also looking at units 80 and 81. I have been on the other side of 80 and the western side of the divide has some real good deer. There is plenty of public land, more than you will be able to hunt in one season. Most of area 80 and 81 is national forest land.

I have been thinking of hunting this unit in the future. Is there a lot of private?

Never been there, but the map shows a whole lot of both! The regions in Wyoming are big!
