Run bambi - RUN!!!!

What you guys think this fire will do the herds in those areas?

Could be good or bad depending on what happens after the fire-maybe a good spot for some good old conservation tag money.

I'm guessing that we're in store for A LOT more fires this year. The country around here is in prime condition for a big one!

Its huge, and it is effecting some real good deer and elk winter range, and some summer range. I know it burned where my wife shot her deer last year, along with places I saw some good bucks this past winter. I like a little fire, but this one is way to big.

280,000 acres burned and all great mule deer habitat. Doesn't look they are going to catch a break, the fire just keeps growing. Now the 1 priority fire in the nation. SAD! Our prayers go out to all that are associated with this fire.

LAST EDITED ON Jul-09-07 AT 01:28PM (MST)[p]Wow is this fire out of control!

Let's hope we don't lose anyone to this fire like we did out in the Basin.

Last I heard was 300,000 acres and counting!

Wish those of you that live and work in this country the best.

Not good ... if it jumps I15 ... game over! was just reported at 469 sq miles.

This is a bad deal. I didn't mean to make light of it with my RUN BAMBI post. I hope everyone is safe. From the photos I have seen it looks like devastation abounds West of i-15 from Cove fort to beaver. This area burns a lot. Its a good area for deer and I hope it can rebound. The wind is bad - and spread this fast. Guess that is why they are building the wind power plant out there.

We better get some rain - or the western states are going to regulate the hills to death this fall.

If it hops the interstate things could get really bad for man and beast both.
