Muzzleloader deer load

I drew a muzzleloader deer tag for Colorado. I have always shot pellets and sabots out of my disc knight muzzleloader. I am getting ready to start shooting my gun and getting it ready to go. Does anyone have a particular load they would suggest for me to start with?? Are power belts legal??
By the way I drew unit 55 if anyone wants to give me any info on that unit also.

Yes Powerbelts are legal in colorado. My brother and father use 90 grains pyrodex RS and a 295 grain powerbelt every year. I'd Give those a try and see how they shoot. My second bullet i use is a 385 grain Great plains bullet made by Hornady.

try 100 grains of Pyrodex and a 245 grain powerbelt. Thats what I use and it hasnt failed me yet.
