If he can only get out for a few days go towards the end of the season. This year (and last year, which is very uncommon) the season runs through Thanksgiving. The bigger bucks don't usually show up until later in the month, and this year the season goes about as late as it ever does. The first week is usually warm which is another reason to hunt late. Weekdays you will see less people, but like diesel said the roadhunters are there in force, especially on the opener and the weekends. If you find an area that has minimal road access and get out and walk you will likely not see another hunter. Get up high in the mornings and evenings to glass and you will see deer. I spent one day out there last weekend and the grass out there is as thick as I have ever seen and there is water everywhere. Should be a good hunt. Let me know if you have any more questions.
