Well the season turned out to be a great one! Dad was able to connect with a great bull, I got to meet some really good guys while doing some guiding for elk and then I was able to get some hunting in for myself! I was able to locate this bull Sunday morning and then went after him that evening, by knowing the area I hunt, I was able to narrow the options down to where this bull would be. I got to the area early afternoon and he was already bugling and making all kinds of racket. By 6pm the bull was in my lap and I was taking the shot, the bull made it about 15yds before falling over right in front of me. Probably the shortest tracking job I have ever had, so was very gratefull for that and now with the freezer half full it is time to take on some antelope and then a rifle elk hunt for my oldest son. Take care and good hunting!
