Additional forest closures in effect

The Elko Interagency Dispatch Center reported Saturday afternoon the following closures are in effect beginning at 3 p.m.:

Jarbidge Ranger District, Humboldt-Toiyabe National Forest

Area closure order: All areas, roads and trails on the portion of the Jarbidge Ranger District that is north of the northern Jarbidge Wilderness area boundary, west of the Jarbidge River, east of the Jarbidge District boundary with the Mountain City Ranger District, and east from the town of Jarbidge including Jarbidge Canyon, Deer Creek, Buck Creek, Columber drainages, and all of the Elk Mountain area on the Jarbidge Ranger District are now closed to public entry.

Mountain City Ranger District, Humboldt-Toiyabe National Forest

Area closure order: All areas, roads, trails and campgrounds east of State Highway 225, including, but not limited to: Sunflower Flats, Bruneau River, the portion of the Jarbidge Wilderness, and Copper Mountain on the Mountain City Ranger District are now closed to public entry. Residents and property owners that have the legal right to access their personal residences and/or property for the rights of ingress and egress are exempt from the Closure.

Ruby Mountains Ranger District, Humboldt-Toiyabe National Forest

Area Closure Order: Areas, roads and trails within the portions of the Ruby Mountains Ranger District listed in the following legal description:

Township 35 North, Range 60 East, Sections; 1-8-5, 8-17, 20-29, and 32-36

township 35 North, Range 61 East, Sections; 6,7,18,19,30, and 31

Township 36 North, Range 60 East, Sections; 23-26, and 33-36

This includes the portion of the East Humboldt Wilderness within the above legal description, and the following creek drainages; Stephens Creek, First Boulder Creek, Second Boulder Creek, Third Boulder Creek , Fourth Boulder Creek, Lost Creek and Ackler Creek.

Closures shall remain in effect until further notice

I may have to alter my plans. Sounds like one of my plans may be black instead of green.

I hope they can get a handle on it.
