I see that some cwmu landowners (northern Utah) allow for hunting in November during the rut. If one was interested in a cwmu tag, how much better is the hunting during november 5th to 10th than lets say early or late October. Are the big boys hiding during the early part of the season and not seen or would it be better to be first out there. what are the differences.

My advice for you on this is too be careful on which CWMU's your interested in looking at in late October. The reason i say that is- i'd shy away from the higher altitude properties, a lot of them are high in the norther region and the deer could be moved off by then. Stick with middle ground or lower elevation areas. Deer usually rut very close to their winter range.
