Arizona 12a-W - need help

I finally drew my tag of a lifetime. I have waited patiently for 12 years now. I guess AZG&F throws a bone to it's residents once in a while. I would appreciate any advice on 12a-W late hunt. I have hunted the plateau on the early archery hunts but have never been down to the lover elevations, let alone shared the area with only 175 other hunters. Since this is during the rut in late November, I will be looking for concentrations of deer to find the bucks. Scouting for the big bucks will be difficult, since they are still up high and won't move until snowfall. I will be holding off for the 30" mark at least until the last two days following the advice I read a long time ago - You can't expect to slay a monster if you keep tipping over the small ones. Any suggestions, other than hiring a guide (can't afford it since I'm investing in better glass), would be appreciated. Specifically, where would be good areas to start glassing, are there areas where the deer come off the plateau each year, should I glass canyon country, open areas, the recent slide fire burn area, or focus on small draws? I will also look into Duwane Adams map service as his book was very helpful. Thanks for any and all help.

Call Duwane Adams. That is the best advice anyone can give you. At least do his map service. I don't think there is anyone that knows the unit better.
