I wasn't really planning on drawing a tag since I burned all my points last year on a draw. I am not usually lucky but I drew Teanaway late archery with no points this year. I went up last year during the muzzleload permit season with a friend for a day and saw some decent bucks.
My season dates are Nov. 20 - Dec. 8. I was just wanting to hear some good stories and some success up there last year. I heard through the grapevine about some nice buck but never saw any pictures.
Also, I know it depends on the winter but about when do the majority of bigger bucks migrate down in that area? I would like to make a trip over from Moses Lake for a few days to do some looking. I am assuming about the beginning of November they would be on the move, is that right?

Good luck this year!!!

Congrats on drawing. This should be a fun hunt for you and you should see a lot of bucks. The bucks should be at the tail end of the rut during your hunt. I dont know which area you are planning on hunting, but the good thing is that it is all good. (snow or not) There will be a ton of migrating bucks, but there are a good number of local bucks that don't come from the Alpine Wilderness.

Just last week I saw 2 bucks that would go 170+. One of the bucks looks exactly like the top buck posted on the home page. Find some good lower stuff to hunt in case it snows a lot before your hunt. There is a lot of country up there so doing your homework will pay off. Good Luck

LAST EDITED ON Aug-06-07 AT 04:11PM (MST)[p]a buddy of mine called while he was camping up on the north fork teanaway and said he saw 3 big bucks, 1 was at least a 5x5, running together right off the road. another buddy of mine killed a 160" 3x3 2 years ago in general season just outside of the teanaway. i'd think thats a great tag to have. good luck and lets see some pic's after season.
check your pm's too.
