THE ONLY bobcat THAT KNOWS ALOT OF YOU HAVE HAD THIS IMAGE IN YOUR PEA BRAIN BUT DUE TO POOR SHOOTING TACTICS I'M STILL KICKIN!!!

Maybe its not last years... Either way that guy has taken some magnificent animals.

I thought the same thing when I saw that picture, that it was last years deer but I went back and searched and these are the pictures posted on this forum the last two years. Definitely three different bucks.

LAST EDITED ON Aug-11-07 AT 10:24AM (MST)[p]I dont think he took it in NV. Randy was unsuccessful in all of the NV draws. I'm not sure how the land owners tags work though so I guess it is possible. One helluva buck regardless. Congrats Randy!
Fly

Yeah he took it in nevada in the same area he shot last years buck. Randy sure is good at putting those big bucks to bed and slipping in on them to stick a arrow in them thats for sure.

Thanks for posting this! I'm sooooo jealous. These two guys are untouchable when it comes to giant archery bucks.

You can do it too!!! All it takes in tons of time, money, and hunting skill!! Of the 3, the skill is the hardest to come by, IMO!!

Looks like he has found a honey hole(NV) those two buck has the same genetic from looking at those horns, VERY nice bucks, He does have the big buck hunting down. Man all those heads hanging in the same room. Nice job guys.

Check out some of his trophies on his web page. randyulmer.com. He's definately got some cash, but all those bulls, bucks, and rams with a bow is unbelievable. I'd buy any book he wrote.

Greg,
If your reading this, I sent you a PM.
Impressive buck! You and Randy work hard for these trophies.
NVHUNTERER

He does take some awesome deer every year. He definately knows how to hunt. I would also say he definately knows how to take a photo to make the deer look a lot bigger than it really is as well. His head looks like a pimple compared to the deer in most of the photos. Don't get me wrong they are awesome bucks and I wouldn't pass a single one up ever. I am definately jealous.

Saskman

>The buck you guys are thinking
>is from colo.is from
>Nevada as well.

Its a CO deer

NVBighorn,
Just curious but I could've sworn that the big typical was his '05 NV buck, the big NT was his '06 CO buck, and then this years '07 NV buck... Just cause they look like they have the same genetics don't mean that they do. Mass and fork size are a little different too...

LAST EDITED ON Aug-12-07 AT 11:27PM (MST)[p]wheres the blood, those deer are sleeping...

tell me, does it get old, years after year taking monsters...

MichaelJ,

I just searched this site for Ulmer and lifted the photos. It's entirely possible I got the two years switched or screwed up. I was sleepy. :) And envious. :)

Those guys are a heckuva duo. Congrats to Randy; he's one of the best muley hunters. Super bucks - year after year.

I agree , I really think Randy is one of the very mest big game archers and maybe the best mule deer bow hunter. AMAZING , AWESOME WOW!!!!

He is the best Bowhunter in the world in my opinion. Muledeer hands down the best. He is one of the best shooters in the world also. Combine the 2 and the deer or Elk don't have much of a chance. Awesome buck again....... Cangrats.

>Yeah, but can he shoot one
>that's not in velvet?
>Seriously, it's friggin August.

Please tell me your kidding...

What a great buck! Randy Ulmer has consistently proven why he is one of the best if not the best hunter when it comes to taking out big muley bucks with stick and string. My hat is off to him. Great Buck!

RockyMtnOyster

He's not only one of the best bowhunters out there that can flat out shoot a bow.......he's a heck of a nice guy as well. Big time congrats Randy and Greg.....very nice buck!

BOHNTR )))---------->

Where's monkeyman on this one? AKA the chute plane lover. My cousins live in Arizona and have seen ru fly over them. I think he is a great hunter but he tainted his rep with a chute plane. Big congrats to him when not using the chute plane. He is amazing.

Yes he is good hunter who has done very well but he's not GOD. Alot of people on here could do equally as well with his time and MONEY! Congrats to him and his trophys. It seems alot of us have his drive and dedication just not the time and money.
Im so jealous!!

Koyote

Zigga you tainted your reputation when you said you flew an area to find your mountain goat in Montana. Your whole body isn't big enough to fit in Randy Ulmer's jockstrap.

Hey spuz! Show me where I said that. Go ahead!!! Are you selling ru jockstraps?

Show me where I said that!!! Cause it didn't happen. Good luck on the search.

LAST EDITED ON Aug-14-07 AT 05:10PM (MST)[p]Oh no you didn't actually do it, you just recommended it. Fuggin jealous hypocrite. If you didn't do it, it was only because you don't make enough money on your paper route.

http://www.monstermuleys.info/cgi-b...w_thread&om=1572&forum=DCForumID8&archive=yes

Yes Zigga, this could be you.. if you had the time and money...

http://www.randyulmer.com/photo-gallery/

My advice - quit the paper route - get your PhD, become a doctor, make some cash, learn how to shoot and hunt, and make it happen. Riiighht.

I believe Randy could infact kill a muley out of August, BUT, the season in NV allows for him to hunt them then. He has killed rams , goats , bulls etc, in all kinds of crazy conditions all with his bows. The man is an amazing hunter and a great shot. All the money in the world can't make a stalk or shot....Again , he is a very accomplished archer , why spit stupid remarks about his achievents...

All you guys are slipping. Hasn't anyone noticed that the two hunters are not wearing matching camo? I won't even mention the velvet.... whoops!

Ransom

Is he killing all these big monsters off public lands or is he hunting private land? Just trying to understand if his success is related to the depth of his wallet or if it is due to his hunting skill. I am sure he has as much skill as anyone else, but we all know a wall can be filled with monsters if you have enough coin. As an example...Do any of you really think that Bill Jordan is a more skilled hunter than you? Of course not, he just has the budget or $$$$ to go anywhere in the country and hunt the best properties where the guide has already done all the work and patterned the animals. All he has to do is show up with his cameras and hunt. It especially sickens me when I see these guys on the hunting shows settle for a buck that would be a cull buck here in Kansas and you know that buck cost them around $2000-$4000. So don't go bowing down thinking this guy is all that....his wallet might be all that? In any case what a great specimen that we can all try to strive for as our very own personal best. I know mine whether that big or not will have to come off public land. They are there maybe not as many as there are on some of these high dollar ranches. -CB-

I don't think Bill Jordan,or many other well known video guys, pay for very many of their hunts. He gets hunts in exchange from outfitter promotions. Randy Ulhmer is the real deal. He is obvioulsy very dedicated. I'm sure I could learn a thing or two if I could tag along on a hunt or two. :)

None of Randy's bucks are from private land. The Mexico Coues deer are but there is no public land hunting in Mexico. To my knowledge everyone of his bulls are from public land.

Is Randy God? Heck no, he would laugh his butt off if anyone was serious about that. Randy just loves to hunt and so does Greg and they are very good at it, probably the best. Everyone one I know who has hunted with Greg will tell you that he is the best glasser they have ever seen. Anybody who has ever shot a bow with Randy will tell you that he is the best archer they have ever seen (heck he has held every record in professional archery at one time or another). That is a very, very deadly combination. They make a good couple, I just wish they would wear matching camo! It really bothers my sense of style when they clash like that.

Zigga who are your cousins?

> Just trying to understand

I am guessing the money angle everyone is talking about is what he pays the locals to scout these bucks plus the cost of the landowner tags.

Regardless, congrats to ru on another succesful NV hunt.

Seems like every time some one with money shoots a book animal the majority of the members just talk crap about them here.

Randy is a awesome bow hunter who has paid his dues to get were he is at today. Seems like alot of you guys need to get off your asses and start paying your dues.

Any one can glass up a book animal but getting it killed with a bow is a different story.

Awesome buck...Randy is one of the best. A big mule deer is the most desired trophies in the world and he makes it look easy year after year. It appears that Randy has the work ethic and desire that far exceeds most of the rest of us.

sure would like to know what unit he shoots these babies in? Other than that, Randy is definitely the master.

Just wish I could AFFORD a tag in Nevada every year and one of the best guides every year. Lots of congrats are given to Randy but I believe the guide is more deserving. All of MM'ers who guide or who have guided know what Im talking about.

Koyote

Koyote,
So who was the guide on this hunt?
Seriously Greg and Randy know how to find big bucks and know how to kill big bucks... Who gives a rats ass how much money the guy has? He loves to hunt and hunt hard and pays money to allow himself those opportunities.

Mabye I spoke without knowing all the facts, I was under the impression that he has been guided on all these hunts in Nevada, at least thats the info I've gotten on these stories the last few years about randys bucks.

Nada, I'm 90% sure that Greg and Randy do all of their own scouting and hunting by themselves... not 100% sure, but I would put money on it.

congrats to randy and greg!! they do kill some monster bucks. I think all of those people who are doing the crying should go to their community college and ask the councelor how long it would take to get their PHD! Randy more than likely gave up alot of seasons to go to class and write papers. Congratulations to you Randy you deserve to spend your OWN money and time on whatever you want.

I asked that Q, last year and got a firm rebuke, they're
all public land bucks, Randy's price's are very reasonable at that

In my opinion the Carter's, Eastmans, and so on--all of them--are Randy Ullmer wannabees. He is the real deal. And it seems to me he does it because he loves the challenge and not to stroke his ego. Yah, his photos show up here and there but he doesnt jam them down your gullet like some of the others do.

I wish I could afford to buy a tag in NV every. But even if I could I do not think I could kill the bucks Randy does. He is one a the very few writers I listen to.

Wow!! Monster Buck...I just checked out the pictures on his website and he has killed some toads. I'm jealous. Great job!!

Is it just me or does he tip the head of the animal down in all his photos and that makes the rack look allot bigger? They are great animals and I would like to see a few more photos from different angles.

Yea, he needs to tip the heads down to make them look bigger. Dude, those bucks look big because they are friggin enormous.

Indeed they are freak'n pigs...some sort of cross between a T-rex and goat. No Harm intended just noticing the positioning in every picture. I admire the amount of money and time he can spend on hunting every year.

Finding a big buck is the easy part, stalking close to them and getting them with a bow year after year is impressive. Hats off to you Randy. Congrats.
