Ensign Ranches Cow

Hey all just wanted to see if anybody has had sucess on Ensign this year? I put my wife in for this tag which she drew and the day we hunted we only saw bulls. I know they are letting hunters back in late december and was hoping for some uplifting info. Thanks in advance!

We shot a cow there over the weekend. Lots of new snow up high, and I believe access will be a problem in many drainages next weekend. We had about 10 inches of fresh snow on Saturday, and it was still snowing as we left. No one else we saw was successful on Saturday. We only saw one small group of elk, and it took us several hours to hike into a position for a shot. We had to pack the meat over a mile to the closest road. The elk were still high, but I suspect the snow will start to move them down.
Not an easy hunt, but we got on fresh tracks early Sat. and stayed with them until we got the job done. It was our only day hunting Ensign Ranches this year.

I got my cow off Ensign a couple of weeks ago. Thanks to a tip from one of Ensign's guides, I was done by 8:00 am. She was with about 20 other cows and spikes.
