Displaying a Euro Mount

I have my 2012 CO archery bull coming my way after the taxidermist completed a Euro mount. Trying to decide how to display him. He has very long main beams and comes up high. I am thinking of using one of the wall mounts made of metal but am open to other options. Anyone do any pedistal mounts.

I like the way they look mounted on shed's... I've seen alot of variations, cause the uniqueness of each shed provides some freedom with how you hang it. Much cheaper than the metal mounts, but just as effective, and arguably more fitting around the 'decor'

I am assuming ozzman is meaning something like this:

I just drilled 2 holes in the shed (you can see this on the first pic) and drilled pilot holes in the base of the skull (just below the hole where the brainstem comes out from the brain). This is a very hard/thick part of the skull and it holds quite nicely. I don't have a pic of it sorry.

LAST EDITED ON Dec-04-12 AT 07:09PM (MST)[p]Fuzzy, post up a pic or 2 of that bull. How big is it? I got a 320ish bull this year and I'm deciding if he's shoulder mount worthy. That mount looks cool. 335?

Thanks fuzz. I remember that hunt. I bought that same frame pack for my elk hunt last yr here in mt. I didn't have to bust it out till I shot my deer tho. The owner of the block management let us drive to the elk and I wasn't gonna pass that up.

Tracker, I have one of those skull hooker things for my deer. For $35 or whatever I think a wood plaque looks better. I love that horn mount euro. I have 4 plaques to make this year and now I might just be drilling holes through some shed horns. Post up a pic when you are done with whatever you do.

Hey guys. Nice pics of the hangers-both homemade and using the Skull Hooker. I have have been fielding some questions, so I attached a picture of a larger elk on the Skull Hooker bracket. And to answer some questions: they are made of steel, powder coated with 2 color options (brown and black) and all the necessary mounting hardware is included (2"wall screws). Always fully adjustable up/down and left right to get you that customized look. As always, feel free to email me if you have any other questions and Happy Holidays from the Skull Hooker Team!
