Hello all!

I drew for region D in Wyoming. This will be my First time deer hunt. Can anyone reccomend any good areas? We've been scouting seen lots of signs that deer are there, however haven't seen any deer! Any advice would be great. I think we are hunting unit 78.

D holds some good deer in it as dose 78, One off the problems with the south end of D is your hunting bucks that spend a lot of time in the timber and as soon as the pressure hits they seem to hide and go knocturnal. best advise I could give ya is to be out and glassing as you get 1st light and the last hour of the day. I've seen good bucks from Libby Flats all the way down to the river.
Have you spent any time on the north end of D, there is not as much public but there are some public places that hold some dandy bucks. myself I mite look north of I-80 in areas that have sage and rim rock.
just my 2 cents!

One thing I wonder about is elevation. I will be going out the first week of September. Is there a particular elevation they stay at? We have found a spot that has lots of draws, sage brush fields, running water, and some really thick timber. From 8400ft to about 9000 ft. We are about 3+ miles in from any motor vehical access (atv). So I'm hoping there wont me too much pressure from other hunters.
