I hope that you can get it. That would really beat your buck from last year. Great forks for your unit. Good luck! Can't wait to see pics.

No question a shooter in my mind, regardless of where you're hunting. I would venture a guess of 201".

I would say a solid 170 buck maybe 175 but that is all I would give him. I would shoot him in a heartbeat. good luck on getting him.

170 are u kidding me. That deer will blow past that mark. I dont know if he is 200 but i would have to say a soild 190 buck. My range would be 188 to 193. I might be off a little but not by much i think. Great buck

I'd put him right around 190 also. This buck looks to me like he will net very close to what he grosses, with only the slight difference in his G-2's. Pretty good mass and great forks all the way around put him right up around the 190 mark. Not to mention the eye guards, I hear people all the time underestimating a bucks score because they are forgetting the 4-8 inches a bunch can pick up with good eye guards.

here is my 170 1/2 gross public groudn buck from last year....I know this buck is better....

I definatly want to top him this year with this tag.

Take your last year buck and add 3-4 inches per tine. Adds up in a hurry. If you add 3 it would put right around the 194 mark as one of the previous who posted guessed he'd be. I wouldn't be surprised to see him stretch to 200 with the couple extras he has.

Nice buck. Don't know anything about the area your hunting but in most areas I think it would be a big mistake to pass on that deer. Especially if your hunting with a bow in an area few bucks live long enough to grow a large rack.

I came up with 193" gross typical frame. I don't think he would net over 190 but as long as he doesn't have some hidden trash he would certainly net over 180". His G2's don't appear too long to me. I would guess his left G2 is about 17" and his right G2 is going to be about 1 1/2" shorter.

Thanks for sharing the pictures. Good luck at putting an arrow in him.

not 200. definitly not 200. i'd say he'd go mid 180's. decent forks, great mainbeams. excellent mass. i'd say he grossed in the 180's and nets high 170's. shoot him and give a prize to the closest guesser.

Great buck! Definately 180's and one to be proud of. I would try like heck to know what his buddy looks like before the opener. My guess is you already do. Is he trashy? I bet you are jazzed for the opener. Good work in being ready and knowing what you are after.

175-180 is what I have him at but he is a toad a 180 class typical is a monster in my book good luck man

here is a pic of my 165 inch gross buck and he nets 161. I don't think this buck has much more.

That is an awesome buck! I would take him on the opener no questions asked! I would put him about 185-190 class. Good luck on getting him!

When I saw the pics, I thought it looks very similar to the one on the wall above me that goes 194 gross. He's easily 190 and possibly as high as 194. Great buck, first day or any day. Best of luck smacking that beauy.

I really feel the first one is in the 180s. The second surprise buck looks like the winner though! GOOD LUCK, DRILL ONE!

Opening day shooter???? I find it hard to believe someone would pass on that buck period! Good luck wackin' him.

That buck is at least a solid 185, he may go 190 but heck who cares about the score. If this buck gets you going then stick an arrow in him. I sure wouldn't let him walk if given the chance. Good luck getting him, hope to see picx with you along side him.

alpinebowman,
that is a great buck, especially with a bow. But I do think that the pic of the live buck is definitely a step above, around 185-190 typical.
Nice buck...opening morning fer shur!

i would say 195....that is an awesome buck....if you got the chance you better take him

Travis,
Don't screw with us. Just post the pictures after you kill him and tell us what the official score is. He's close to the 200" mark. Just by the look I would say that he doesn't have 3 inches of deductions. That's about as typical as they come. Great looking buck.

It's always an adventure!!!

Nice buck alpine, I can see the similarities between the two bucks but you've got to hand the Elkridge buck some inches for browtines, inside spread, mass, and longer G2's. That should get him well into the 180's.

Good luck to both of you this year.

Before looking at the other guesses my first thought was, 200.
Then I started thinking numbers and I came up with 192"

187 gross! Velvet antlers always look heaver than they really are. 180 net!

If you are looking for a 190 buck this buck isn't it.
Heck of a buck! Great Pic! Hope you get him!

LAST EDITED ON Aug-24-07 AT 08:01AM (MST)[p]Great buck! Who cares what it scores....Just shoot it and let us see it.

LAST EDITED ON Aug-24-07 AT 08:15AM (MST)[p]175 at best.

shoot him, then post an official score sheet. . He's NOT a 180 buck.

He's a nice buck, he would be a great trophy, and a awesome bow kill, but he's no a record book buck. So what I say, shoot him if you like him. . .

I don't have to see anymore of the buck behind the tree to tell you he is a better class buck. having a pick between the two I would say shoot the Nontypical, much better.
