THE ONLY bobcat THAT KNOWS ALOT OF YOU HAVE HAD THIS IMAGE IN YOUR PEA BRAIN BUT DUE TO POOR SHOOTING TACTICS I'M STILL KICKIN!!!

Well, being the first bow you ever shot, the first archery tag you ever had, the first buck you ever drew on, first one you ever killed you just as well throw that bow away. Gonna be awful hard to beat that bruiser. Besides, you made it as seem so easy maybe you need to try a long bow or slingshot or something a little harder. :) Congrats on a great buck!

Nicely done, my friend! And I'm lovin' that pack out pic on the horses. Great buck, Drew...just awesome.

Might as well quit while you're ahead. That's one awesome buck! Congratulations! I love that pack out picture, well done.

What a great buck , CONGRATS BIG TIME! Archery hunting doesn't get any better than that , glad you laced a big buck , now your hooked I'm sure ....Thanks for sharing ...Larry

SuperRooster,

Again, congrats to you on the hunt and a first time archery buck. Like NVBighorn stated, "what are you going to do for an encore"??? LOL

A friend I have hunted with and worked with, took up archery just a few years ago as his son is into it. He practiced at home and went with his son and son's friend, both of the young guys are Game Cops here in CA. Anyway, they are up in Idaho and being the old man he could not keep up with them, so found a spot under a tree and waited it out. As luck came, he got his first archery tag filled with a spike elk but had killed a "tree limb" early that day trying for a 5x5 Bull.

Son and friend..........ZERO.

Congrats FatRooster. Nice buck and good-looking country. That's a great way to start an archery career.

Nice job fatrooster! Hey - get some HUNTER ORANGE on those horses! You never know when some idiot may be sitting on your trail home in a tree stand and think he just saw the biggest bodied buck of his stupid life! HA HA! Good job dude!

now i remember why i check in on the mule deer forum from time to time....great going 'rooster'...would love to 'hear' all about it...

Most excellent Drew! Remember the bow hunters creed! Every deer you shoot has to be bigger than the last one!

Just kidding of course, but you sure set the bar pretty high! Nice "cheater" point.

Are you doing a velvet mount? It looks to be in great shape!

FatRooster,
SWEET BUCK! I'm jealous! Would love to kill a nice one like that in velvet. WAY TO GO!!!!

Good Job FatRooster. I can't speak for everyone else, but I like this forum because it helps feed my hope and optimism for my own hunt. Good job and thanks for helping to improve MY hunting year before it even gets started.

Mr. Fatrooster.....

Congrats on a super buck! Can't wait to hear the "rest of the story". Sounds like the new Mathews worked perfect. How did the Vortex work?

Great pics, great buck!

Hope to whack an archery buck like that some day. Saw a similar buck in 111 last week, just not as wide.

Do not give fatrooster any more help with this bow hunting stuff or before you know it he will be writing books on it and charging us for advice. Great buck !

Love that one photo of the buck on the horse.. Nothing better than a picture of a big buck getting packed out on a horse especially if your the one leading the horse off the mountain and it's your buck... That's one nice buck..

Rooster, I always pictured you to be an old fat guy... Just in the name... Great buck and congrats.

Don't listen to these guys. None of them know what they are talking about. See this is a real good example of Beginners luck. My experiance of 40 years hunting tells me you probably couldn't hit the ground if you shot straight in the air. See I am still working on my beginners luck status. I hate you! I am working on cropping your ugly face off the picture and placing mine on it. Then I will sell it and be rich. Oh can I barrow the rack??

Lucky Skunk Well Done. I like it. Keep up the good work. Tell us more.
