This morning I spotted this buck at 6:00 and watched him bed at 8:00 a.m. After a 2 1/2 hr. stalk the wind shifted and he blew out of his bed. At that point I was only 80 yards away.
I hope this buck knows I will be back after my Colorado hunt.
(Utah Public land at about 9500 ft elevation)

What do you think he scores?

Sorry about the video. It was taken through a spotting scope at about 1000 yards

LAST EDITED ON Aug-21-07 AT 07:05PM (MST)[p]It is hard to see on the video but he actually has one kicker on his right and 2 on his left. He also has a split main beam (crab claw) in addition to his big front fork on his left side.
I would guess he has about 8-10 inches of extras and he would be a 5 by 7 plus eyegaurds.

BOBCAT grab your bow and your hiking boots and lets get hiking. This buck had a 30" 3 by 4 with him and about a 25" wide 170" class 4 point. There are plenty to go around!

Great buck. I would be happy to put my Idaho general season tag on him. Too bad Utah has all the big bucks. I should hunt in Utah next year

I came up with a 179" gross typical frame. I could only see two kickers, one on each side close to where the G3 meets the G2. Add 5" of trash and that would put my estimate at 184" gross. I'm sure my estimate could be off. Put an arrow in him and post a few quality photos of him for us to estimate the score. Good luck.
