Colorado Application Question

When I apply for first choice does the preference point purchase automatically happen? The reason I ask is that when I get to checkout it does not show up anywhere. I was wondering if there was a box that I missed that I must check to assure that a point will be allocated and deducted from the refund. Thanks in advance. Jim

IF YOU DONT GET DRAWN ON YOUR FIRST CHOICE, YOU WILL AUTOMATICALLY RECEIVE A POINT FOR THAT SPECIES. YOU CAN BUY A POINT BUT THAT IS A DIFFERENT DEAL, THATS WHEN YOU USE THE PP CODE PROVIDED. If I had an elk tag last year, and apply for deer and elk PPs this year, I don't have to pay the $25 PP fee for the elk. However, will I still have to pay the PP fee for the deer?

I don't think so. I had a deer license in 2005 and did not have to pay the higher fee for either deer or elk points in 2006.
